Enjoy learning what your students will enjoy learning by playing and learn a variety of math games which focus on junior high math concepts like comparing decimals, percent, fractions and ratios including some simple operations, understanding integers including some operations, plotting points and graphing in 4 quadrants, collecting data and displaying and interpreting the data in charts and graphs, relationships between probability and chance. The games and strategies are easy to implement with simple cards and dice and management strategies will be modeled by the presenter throughout the session. An extensive downloadable handout with games, gameboards, follow up activities and assessment tools will be made available. The games and strategies presented will help students learn and master junior high math concepts without burdening teachers with additional preparation and planning.
