I would like to speak about our emerginig local esports league as well as teaching esports classes within Jr/Sr Highschool. Speaking on the leauge we treat it very similar to a traditional sports league like basketball/hockey. I would explain our leauge structure/rules of play/hosting/tournaments Esports classroom: I would talk about my current course I teach around esports (JR course) and also how to introduce esports classes to higher CTS classes.

H5P.org (free website) has been around for several years to promote a fun and engaging way to learn. You can have embedded material from Crosswords, Interactive Videos, Flashcards, Game Map and so much more. To be exact another 50 to choose from. I will quickly show you the ins and outs of storing your material on this server but to build all H5P material we will direct ourselves to MoodleHub.ca and Lumi.

Let's Sweat the Small Stuff! Using Miniature Painting in the Classroom

This session focus on the popular world of miniature painting, by exploring it's brief history, it's rise in popularity and how it can used as an extension of your classroom as a project or expression of the elements of art and design. The hands-on piece of this session will include a guided tutorial on the fundamentals of miniature painting with an emphasis on acrylic paints, washes, technical paints and texture. With a small introduction to 'green-stuff' sculpting and the uses of dioramas in a humanities class. Participants will take home a 28mm scale miniature and a bust (statue) at the end of the session as an artifact of their learning to showcase some of the techniques learned. All the supplies are being provided and the fee for this session is $10.

Small Batch Fermententation

This CLASSROOM session will focus on small batch fermentation that can be used in a Jr. or Sr. high Foods Studies class. A variety of types of Ferments will be reviewed and tasted with recipes and applications available to participants. Participants will leave with some dried sourdough starter and will have recipes and resources ready to use in their classroom right away! Unfortunately due to the time fermentation takes, we will not be making and eating anything in this session; it is informational only. However, there will be some tasting of a variety of small batch ferments.

Come Drape with Me! Fashion Draping for Beginners

Fashion Draping is a technique that involves the manipulation of fabric on a form to create clothing designs. Through a series of demonstrations and practice, this half day workshop will provide teachers with the basics for fashion draping with a focus on the curricular outcomes of the fashion course FAS3150 Draping. Teachers will be required to bring a body form, straight pins, fabric scissors, hand needle and thread, 2-3 meters light weight muslin, an erasable marking pen/pencil, fabric measuring tape and a couple packages of 1/4” twill tape.
