About me
Sarah Adomako-Ansah is a teacher from Edmonton, Canada. She taught for eight years in grades three through six before beginning a secondment with the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, located in Winnipeg, Canada. As the Educator in Residence, she created an educational program to assist teachers with difficult classroom conversations surrounding racism and the growing concerns in the world today. The PBL program is titled Pass the Mic: Let’s Talk About Racism. After her two year secondment, Sarah is currently the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism Consultant for all K-12 classrooms in all 96 schools in the division. Additionally, Sarah is the co-founder of the Black Teachers Association of Alberta, formed in 2020. Sarah’s passions include technology, representation, leadership, and supporting teachers. Finally, Sarah is one of the recipients of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for leadership in education and in her community.
