Dia Syed has been involved in sports, teaching and business for a large part of her professional career. She is the Early Stages Coordinator for Volleyball Alberta and the founder and CEO of Girls In Sports Canada. Dia has extensive experience in program development, implementation, marketing, sales and management. Her prior career was an Account Manager for Northern Alberta for Enterprise Holding and after she returned to school to complete her Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with a concentration in Kinesiology. She is a trained and certified Performance Volleyball Coach and has coached Volleyball for 10+ years. Between her various positions in the sports industry Dia has taught in over 200 schools to all ages in kindergarten to grade 12 various different sports which include ultimate frisbee, volleyball, basketball, dodgeball, soccer and the list continues. Dia's goal is to make sure every child has the right to play, be active and have fun while doing it.
