About me
Over the course of my 26-year career, I have had the privilege of working with and serving various school communities within ECSD. I have held different roles, including teacher, assistant principal, and principal, at nine school communities. My experiences in diverse areas of the city and the opportunity to open a new school have enriched my understanding of the complex responsibilities that leaders encounter when faced with various challenges.
Currently, I serve as the principal of École St. Cecilia junior high, which has 552 students and 42 staff members. Our school offers a variety of specialized programs, including accelerated math and science, a French Immersion program, and the Braided Journeys program. Additionally, the West Campus for Archbishop O'Leary High School operates within our facility, adding another layer of complexity to our environment.
I have actively participated in several committees as a principal, focusing on leadership mentorship, budgeting, and inclusive education. I am particularly grateful for my role as treasurer for the ATA's Council of School Leadership, which has provided me with the opportunity to engage with the SLICC and connect with numerous leaders across the province.
