About me
John is currently an Assistant Principal at an Edmonton Public school. In addition to being a former elementary music teacher, John spent many years teaching cello and conducting string orchestras with students of all ages. In his current role, he supports the diverse needs of a Pre-Kindergarten program as a passionate advocate for staff and student physical, social, emotional and mental well-being. John continues to perform in a community orchestra as their principal cellist and conducts the choir at St. Olga’s Orthodox mission in Edmonton. As a husband and proud father of two, including one autistic daughter, he strives to build communities in which all differences are acknowledged and celebrated.
