About me
I have 30+ experience as a classroom teacher (grades 4-12) and have post-graduate training in curriculum (UVic) and technology education (SFU). Currently, I am an educational coordinator for the online program Kids Boost Immunity (KBI) working with specialist teachers who over the past seven years have developed hundreds of lessons and thousands of support resources. When I first learned of KBI’s unique opportunity provided to students to help others in need, I was eager to join the small, innovative team. It has been inspiring to work with elementary teachers (grades 4-7) in developing a cross-curricular resource with everything included: assessment, resources for literacy/numeracy building, comprehension, as well as group-based learning and inquiry. I love working with dedicated teachers keen to share resources with colleagues and who want to see all learners meaningfully engaged in a way that is relevant for the ever-changing world.
