Having taught English in Edmonton high schools and junior high schools for a decade, Malcolm Azania is an award-winning novelist, award-winning print journalist, radio host-producer, television host and associate producer, sketch comedy writer, video game writer, poet, and community organizer. He’s passionate about the power of aspirational Africentric education to transform lives of students and teachers. In addition to speaking and teaching workshops across North America, at TEDx Edmonton he presented “The Cure for Death by Smalltalk” on the importance of questions and stories in genuine conversation, which has been viewed online more than 865,000 times.
