About me
Nathan Treloar is a Grade 4 teacher at Bessie Nichols School. He is a coach of the school's eSports Club and Tabletop Gaming Club. He loves games in all their many forms. He uses games in his teaching practice as a way to bring together diverse groups of students. He also values how games can facilitate social learning and interaction for students who struggle to participate in groups. Games can codify social interactions through rules and provide models and prompts for how to act and behave by way of cards, and playing pieces in board games, or character avatars and digital graphics in video games.
