About me
I am passionate about incorporating gardening into my instructional practices as I have been witness to how this practice can transform the school atmosphere. Students love to watch their plants grow and are even more excited to eat what they have grown. Fostering students' natural interest will feed them and help save the planet! I have spent my entire teaching career of 18 years in Edmonton. During my career, I have learned to grow outdoor gardens with students using traditional gardens, greenhouses, and cold frames that thrive in our climate. I have also learned to incorporate indoor gardens using grow lights, and hydroponics into my teaching. My focus is to teach students and teachers to grow plants to improve their quality of life and to create their own sustainable food sources.
