About me
Kevin began his teaching career over 2 decades ago in a suburban public school on Long Island, New York. He later moved to California, where he consulted for a startup charter school in Hollywood. For seven years, Kevin taught fifth grade at an independent school in Los Angeles and served on the school's administrative team as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Currently, he teaches middle school history and serves as the Dean of Students. His classroom approach emphasizes authentic learning experiences and rigorous instruction. Kevin was featured as a guest on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where Kelly Clarkson highlighted his dedication to his students. In the summer of 2022, Kevin's book "Lights, Cameras, TEACH: A Screenplay for Engagement, Culture, and Relationships" was released by DBC Consulting. The book is used by teachers and administrators as a guide for increasing student engagement and strengthening school culture.
