Valeria is the Executive Director of the Edmonton Epilepsy Association, EEA, and has been working in the non-profit sector for over 25 years. As a skilled communicator and supporter of community causes, she leads by example, striving to engage with as many people as possible about epilepsy and life with seizures, in the Edmonton and northern Alberta region. Her passion to "Empower those who live with epilepsy" drives her to engage in innovative and traditional approaches to engage the conversation about neurological diversity. She holds a masters degree in Communications Technologies and in Secondary Education, and worked in the education field for over a decade.
