About me
Zach is an Assistant Principal in the CBE and doctoral candidate at the Werklund School of Education (UCalgary). An emerging scholar in the field of curriculum studies, his research interests include looking at how changing conceptions of scientific literacy can benefit society’s response to public health and other emergent issues. An avid storyteller, Zach is using science stories to help improve students' understanding of contemporary public health issues for his doctoral research. He has taught science at the high school middle school level, and believes that all students are science people. Improving science teaching will help all students realize that, and recognize the impact that scientific decision making has on themselves and society.
